MES的本质到底是什么?

1.一套生产现场的综合管理的集成系统。用集成的思想替代原来的设备管理、质量管理、生产排程、DNC、数据采集软件等车间需要使用的孤立的软件系统。

2. MES在信息化系统中具有承上启下的作用，是一个信息枢纽。强调信息的实时性。

3. 从生产计划的执行、生产过程的追溯、设备的正常高效使用、保证产品质量、进行工人排班及合理激励等多个维度来对生产现场进行集成管理。

4. 不同行业、不同生产模式的企业，应用的是MESA规定的11个标准模块的子集。

制造企业是否一定要实施MES?

答案是要根据企业的特点和需求来分析，不能一概而论。MES肯定不是万灵药，如果制造流程比较简单，或者以制造外包为主，同时车间数量很少，可以在ERP基础上做一定的二次开发，集成数据采集功能，不一定需要上MES系统。

是否实施MES的关键在于企业是否需要，以及是否有能力将管控粒度细化：从天到小时、分钟，是否要从班组管到个人，是否要从产线管到工序等。另外，纯离散制造企业实施MES的难度更大。离散行业和流程行业企业实施MES的难点不同，数据采集方式不同。如果要应用APS进行排产，则对基础数据的要求更高。

制造企业应用MES的前提是什么?

理解MES的功能和特点;理解自身实施MES的必要性，明确实施目标;梳理自身实施MES的详细需求;明确MES系统与底层自动化和ERP等系统的集成方案和分界点;明确MES的实施步骤和实施范畴;得到企业高层领导的支持，确保有足够的经费投入;建立由信息化部门、生产管理和车间骨干人员组织的实施团队;对实施和二次开发的长期性做好心理准备。

不同行业推进MES应用的方式和重点

1. 冶金、化工、烟草、芯片、电子组装(SMT)、制药、食品饮料等行业从自动化系统、DCS或PLC系统向上延伸。

2. 机械行业自上而下为主，从企业级应用向车间级应用延伸。关注高级生产排程。

3. 汽车行业由ERP应用深化和推行精益生产双重驱动，整车厂应用较多。
