中图仪器SJ5100系列高精度光栅测长机采用高精度光栅式大量程接触式测量，能够实现精密量具、精密量规，如块规、环塞规、卡规、螺纹规、花键规、表类、尺类等的测量及检定，还可以检测各种精密工件内外尺寸，如齿轮、花键、校对棒、非标量规等。

而SJ5180系列高精度激光测长机，将激光应用在接触式测长机测量上，采用激光作为长度方向定位，线性测量精度达到0.5PPM，分辨力达到0.01μm。高性能五轴工作台的Z轴可配置数显装置，用于螺距显示。可以配置高性能螺纹环规测量装置，可测量小螺纹环规，同时可完成小光滑环规检测；测量力为电子测力，由软件选择测力大小。

该型号为SJ5180-10000，有效测量尺寸10米，整体长度近12米。实测精度达到±（0.5+L/2000）μm（L，mm）。
