Abstract:Cellular neural network(CNN)is a kind of large-scale nonlinear analog circuit. It shares two key features: its continuous time feature allows real-time and high-speed parallel signal processing in the digital domain and its local interconnection feature makes it tailor made for VLSI implementation. This paper describes the architecture and features of CNN and introduces its application in the communication system, including signal processing and its hardware implementation, chaos communication and the optimization problems for communication networks.
