This application report discusses the implementation of an interface between the TLV5639 Digital-to-Analog Con- verter (DAC) and the TMS320C31 Digital-Signal Processor (DSP). The TLV5619-5639EVM will be used to demon- strate the complete circuit implementation. This EVM is the evaluation module for the TLV5639 and the TLV5619 DACs that will take care of all the necessary signal manipu- lation for the control signals of the DAC. The TLV5639 is a 12-bit DAC with a microprocessor-compatible parallel interface designed for many applications, such as digital servo control loops, digital offset and gain adjustment, industrial process control, machine- and motion-control de- vices, and mass storage devices to name a few.
