　　1、概述

　　PDH传送体制存在着严重缺陷：只有地区性的数字信号速率和帧结构标准，没有世界性的标准没有统一的标准光接口规范复用结构复杂，。上下话路困难网管能力不强，没有统一的网管接口

　　同PDH相比，SDH具有下列优点：DH对NNI进行了统一的规范，是真正的数据传输体制_上的国际性标准

　　SDH采用同步复用方式和灵活的复用映射结构，可以直接从高速信号中分出、插入低速支路信号，简化了上下话路的业务」SDH帧安排了丰富的开销比特，t大大加强网络的OAM能力SDH网络结构有很强的适应性，既可以兼容PDH的各种速率，又可以兼容各种新的业务（如FDDI信号、ATM信号与IP分组等）
