Abstract:
 The function and characteristics of a special chip HD7279A are introduced for keyboard management and isplay.HD7279A takes place of INTEL8279.This chip is very similar to ZLG7289and ZLG7290,but its external circuit is just simple.It can drive8-bit LEDs and manage64-key keybaord directly with simple serial interface,using much less resources of MCU.An application example is given which interfaces with MCU.It controls4鄄bit LEDS and16key keyboard,including software flows.
