It will be the first time I will be using the PIC microcontroller s for one of my projects. I have ordered an 8-bit curiosity development board for prototyping. I wanted to know if this will work for the PIC18F26J11 microcontroller also, or will I need to purchase a specific board for it? I will be grateful if someone could direct me to simple economic variants for testing and evaluation boards for the PIC18F26J11 mcu the explorer board seems too costly and complex.

Also, I am looking forward to use the capacitive measurement feature of this MCU for measuring water level. Has anyone used it before and can anyone comment on the range and resolution that this chip can provide?
