  What VNA do you have and what firmware version?  You mention an 8720, but provide a link to a PNA command set. I think the PNA uses significantly different commands to an 8720. 

If it is really an 8720C that you have,  I would look at its manual,  not the commands of a PNA.

edit: sorry I misread the question; It is marker functions you are looking for I guess.  I don't know it by heart and don't have a reference handy.  but 8753/8720 use older commands from before IEE488.
