Yes, it already happened  :-)

Have you verified with e.g. a scope that the sim800 is sending data at all ?
 
Also you should verify that you can send (TX) data from your PIC to the sim800
Being able to communicate with the terminal program is good, but it does not grant that your wiring is correct, that you use correct voltage levels, send correct commands and correct line termination characters.
 
How are you testing ?
You need to mention what you already tested, what did you expect, what did you see.
Also mention what already works as expected. (e.g. possibly you already could send an SMS successfully, or whatever proves that your sim800 is receiving input from the PIC)
