It is a pretty useless command. If you switch the interface with it, you would have to connect to the instrument with the new selected interface before you could talk to the instrument again. Description This command/query selects the remote interface for the instrument. Only one interface can be enabled at a time. The GPIB interface is selected when the instrument is shipped from the factory. Remarks • This command only has effect on the 34970A. The 34972A will accept the command, but the command will have no effect. Both the parameters and the response to the query are meaningless. • The non-selected interface is disabled immediately*.
