Yes, it is possible to create a driver for the CC2564. We have done this for our MLA code base, and have a hardware board (factory use) that can show this working on our Bluetooth Audio Development kit with PIC32 MX470. Some customers have adopted this HCI radio.
We are currently adapting our Bluetooth radio interface functions in MPLAB Harmony, and creating a full driver suite. This will allow us to expand our offerings there too. We expect this driver to be available in Harmony v1.09, later in this quarter.
