Abstract: The method of constructing novel remote monitoring system by using wireless Java is introduced. The f tunes of wireless Java and
the developed procedures of its application program MIDIet are described. The structure of the remote monitoring system based on wireless Java
is investigated, and the remote monitoring platform is developed by using TC45 module that is integrating J2ME and GPRS function, the long
distance transmission of data and real time monitoring of field devices are implemented. The practice shows that the system is stable and easy to
use, this reveals the applicable prospects of winclesa Java technology in remote momtoring fields.
