I'm trying to import a hex file from distdefaultproduction directory of MPLAB-X 3.45. The target is a PIC32MX350F256H, which I can compile, program, and run from MPLAB-X via PICkit3. I am not running a debug session. I need to email my hex file to people on the other side of the country so they can load it into their copy of the hardware via their PICkit3. Sounds simple enough, I used to do it all the time in MPLAB8, with PIC32MX family. So I thought MPLABX-IPE would be a good tool for them.
I can connect to my PICkit3 with MPLABX-IPE.
But when I do File-Import-Hex in IPE 3.45, it gives me a pop-up message "The imported hex file contained debug information and has been cleared by MPLABX IPE". The only available choice is "OK" which leaves you at the Output window with the message "Loading hex file. Please wait..." forever.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
