怎么从PNA-X N5242A的端口3产生脉冲

嗨......我正在使用PNA-X N5242A来产生脉冲射频信号。
我想从PNA的端口3生成脉冲RF信号。

  Hi...I am using PNA-X N5242A to generate pulsed RF signal. I want to generate the pulsed RF signal from port 3 of PNA. I am trying to configure the pulse from "Pulse Setup" window.

I am listing my configuration below to generate pulse from port 3

Is there any other setting which is require to generate Pulsed RF signal from Port 3 of PNA. Please correct if I am wrong.

  If you look at the Path Configuration dialog you will see that port 3 is derived from source 2 Output 1.  So you need to set the modulator to source 2.  Also, for initial setup set the sweep type to CW frequency. Create traces S43, R3,3, D,3 (if you have port 3 and port 4 connected together.   Or just do "pulse profile" (which sets about the same thing.

The trouble with sweeping frequency is that you have a hard time getting consistent triggering because depending on the sweep, the source might turn off at retrace and it will confuse you.

  You also have to enable the modulator on Source 2. 

It's a little confusing:  we have 2 synthesizers and 4 ports.  Each synthesiser is called a "source" so source 1 goes to ports 1 and 2, with pulse modulators on port 1
Source 2 goes to ports 3 and 4 with pulse modulator on source 3.

In the pulse configuration, you must enable source 2 modulation to have modulation on port 3.

Today I read *Only the 81110A Agilent Pulse Generator is supported* from the PNA help (from the below link):

Whether can I use any other Pulse generator with PNA except 81110A? 

It was also written in the help to configure the pulse generator in pulse generator setup. 
So is it necessary to configure the pulse generator in PNA? if yes then please tell me procedure to configure it in pulse generator setup.

  In general, it is not necessary to use an external pulse generator with the PNA-X.  The internal pulse generator should be all that you need. 

If you have option 008 it is very easy to setup; just set the pulse period and pulse width, the go to advanced, pulse generators, and select enable modulator 2 (and you may disable modulator 1).

Perhaps you can be more specific about the following:
1) what is the Device Under Test (DUT)?  Can you post a connection diagram?
2) why are you using port 3 (no problem to use port 3 but usually port 1 is used).
3) Do you have an Agilent Field or Sales Engineer.  He can put you in touch with a local appication engineer who could quickly sort you out.  It might be easier than trying to do things through email.
  Or have you tried the Agilent Contact senter directly?  I think this is the contact number  +1 800 829-4444

In general, just go to Chan:Hardware Setup: Pulse Gen Config; Enable source 2 (for port 3), set modulator drive to pulse 1, go to the pulse 1 line and set PRF and pulse width and enable it.
