PCIe GEN3 ECRC仅在离线模式下出错

查看我使用我公司拥有的逻辑和协议分析仪捕获的PCIe GEN3跟踪时,没有迹象表明TLP摘要中的ECRC值存在问题。

  When viewing a PCIe GEN3 trace that I have captured with the Logic and Protocol Analyzer owned by my company there is no indication of a problem with the ECRC values in the TLP Digest.  However, when I view the saved trace/configuration .ala file on my Windows 7 laptop it seems that all packets are colored red.  The viewer indicates that the packet has a "Bad ECRC".

The rest of the data seems just fine.

I am using my company's x16 PCIe GEN3 LPA that uses U4301A's.  The software on the analyzer is version 05.80.1004.

I use version 06.03.0000 of the Keysight Logic and Protocol Analyzer software in offline mode to view a copy of the .ala file which I transferred via USB drive.

I am using these tools to investigate an urgent matter.  Why do I see this problem on my laptop but not on the analyzer and how do I resolve it?

  I don't know why you are seeing these errors, but you should ALWAYS run the same version of the SW on both the analyzer and on your offline viewer. Every attempt is made to ensure that this doesn't happen, but sometimes bugs like this make it through the testing. Version 6.03 was a major rewrite of all of the tools, going from 32-bit to 64-bit.

You should call your local Technical Call Center. If this is an urgent mater, the Forums are not the correct venue to get a quick answer.

  Thanks.  I can live with 06.03.0000 as it is for now, but I would like to install 05.08.1004 which is the version on the analyzer.   A couple of things:

(1) The website seems to offer only the latest version of the software, so after some hunting I found SetupLA05801004.exe on the analyzer.
(2) How do I uninstall version 06.03.0000 from my laptop so that I can install 05.08.1004?  I don't see an uninstall program and 05.08.1004 won't install because 06.03.0000 is already there.

  1) If you use the link www.keysight.com/find/la-sw-download, you will get to a page that will allow you to download the 32 bit SW (5.80.1004) or the 64 bit SW (6.03.0000 and above). 

2) Just use the regular Windows uninstall method, from 'Control Panel', remembering that the 6.03 SW is Keysight branded, so it will not be under "Agilent" in the list, but rather under "Keysight". Many people have gotten confused by this. Also don't forget to remove both the "Demo" and "Update" packages. I usually do those first. I also run CCleaner, and reboot, between the uninstall and the new install. I have gone back and forth between the 32 and 64 bit versions multiple times without problems.

Note: A final 32 bit version (5.90) will be released soon. It will be Keysight branded, and have some bug fixes, but otherwise will be much like 5.80.1004. All future releases will be 64 bit only.

I don't know what Viewer options you have with your existing SW, but you should consider getting the upgrade to the 'B' license. It adds the Transaction, LTSSM, and Performance Viewers, and doubles the trace depth. The US list price is 8K.
