Hello Sanjay,

Can you please attach your xinfo and license file. This could be because license is not picked by the tool.
 
To generate Xinfo report just go to Start--> All Programs -->Xilinx Design tools -->ISE Design Suite14.2..> Accessories --> Xinfo System Checker and after you run “Xinfo System Checker”, the Xinfo.txt will get generate, please share it along with license file

Hello Sanjay,
 
In Linux, environment variables should be set before using any Xilinx tools.
 
1. Change directory to Xilinx tools installation directory, e.g.
> cd /opt/Xilinx/12.1/ISE_DS
 
2. Source settings[32|64].[sh|csh] to set environment variables for 32/64 bit environment for bash or C shell.
> source settings32.sh
 
3. Thus, xinfo/ise/xsdk/xps and other Xilinx tools can be launched in any directory by typing its name. If ending with "&", the shell can be used to type another command. If not, the current program should be closed before typing another command:
> xinfo
> ise
> xps
 etc.
 
4. Note: The environment variables only exist in the shell that has sourced the settings32.sh. If a new shell is launched, settings32.sh should be sourced again.

For pointing license on linux server, you have to include XLCM in the operating system path variable using the command
 
setenv PATH$XILINX/../common/bin/lin:$PATH
setenv PATH$XILINX/../common/bin/lin64:$PATH
 
where XILINX refers to the directory where ISE is installed.
Once the path is correctly set, you can open XLCM from project navigator GUI or from command line with command 'xlcm' and point your floating license to the server.
